Making new work

I’m currently developing and directing work across theatre, television and film.

After several years working primarily in screen production, I’m excited to be back in the theatre while continuing to develop original screen projects.

I’m particularly interested in work that combines strong storytelling, complex characters, distinctive voices and an unexpected point of view.

SCREEN

Alongside my theatre work, I’m developing original television and film projects with writers and production partners.

My current development work spans comedy, drama and genre, with a particular interest in distinctive premises, complex characters and stories that resist the obvious.

Original television

Developing original scripted series across comedy and drama, including projects with distinctive premises and strong genre identities.

Feature film

Developing feature projects, including a deeply personal film exploring memory, family, loss and the ways stories emerge from our attempts to reconstruct the past.

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT

Helping others make their best work

Alongside my own projects, I work with writers, producers and creative practitioners on story, creative strategy and the development of new work.

My experience spans writers’ rooms, script development, series development, theatre and production, and I particularly enjoy helping people find the more interesting possibilities in material that may not yet have revealed its full potential.
